I really couldnt believe that i going to leave bedok(my father shophouse) and stay either at buangkok or Pasir Ris in about 2 mths time. I have been staying here since my kindergarden years, that time my ah gong were still around then.
When i was young, i really dislike here as im so not used to the surrounding. I cried everynight in hoping that my mother would fetch me back home to Pasir Ris. Slowly, i got adapted to life over here and have many good and bad memories which i could remember vividly.
The best thing about here is that the door is always open and the neighbours are v heartwarming though that i dislike walking pass their shop. Perhaps im too shy even just saying "hello auntie, ah um, or ah pek"? aha.
Ever since my father was ill, many neighbour ask me or my mom what has happen to him. They seems so concern. he closes his shops for a few weeks now, even though he hate to do that, but bo bian. My father shop history is abt 30yrs ald, from a furniture shop to a houseware cum joss paper business. The founder was my beloved ah gong,who always call me ah hui and talk to me in hokkien. i miss him dearly and hoping that he would be looking and bao you my father in his recoveries(if that happen)
All of my father siblings were here today to discuss abt my father shop on how to deal with his stock and how much $ he wan to get.didnt expect that amt going to be peanuts? kns.. Today is v saddening becos my father told me "working here for more than 20yrs straight after his university, he ended up with nth. " I can say my father was a v good son and v hardworking as he open his shop late at night for 365days without rest.if we ask him to rest, he would get angry that kind.He overtake this shop when my ah gong was old. With his cert, he can seek for better job and perhaps life wouldnt be as empty as now.Tmr, my aunt going to open his shop and sell off his stuff at all bargain prices. At least we can get back some $$$ for his stock in hand even if it's a lost. So if u live near, give us support!zzzzz.well, its saddening to ban jia la. argh.
